Women's trousers: find the ideal style for every season and occasion
Trousers have the particularity of needing to last all day, from the metro journey to the late-afternoon meeting. High-waisted jeans, suit trousers, fleece-lined joggers, faux-leather leggings or fluid trousers: each style is suited to a particular purpose.
This selection brings together women's wardrobe essentials, carefully chosen by Béryl. For a casual look, an office outfit or a dressier occasion.
Béryl's advice
Béryl, Founder of Hello Moon Shop, over 10 years' experience in ready-to-wear
The most important thing with trousers isn't the size shown on the label, but how they fit. A style that fits well at the waist and is comfortable around the hips will always be more flattering than trousers that are too tight.
If you're hesitating between two lengths, think about the shoes you'll wear them with most often. A few centimetres can completely change the look of a silhouette. And for trousers you'll wear all day, a touch of elastane often makes all the difference in terms of comfort.
How do you choose and wear your trousers?
The cut often matters more than the colour when it comes to everyday trouser comfort.
- High-waisted jeans, with stretch for added comfort, remain the most versatile option: with an oversized top for a casual look, or with a blouse or blazer for a more polished silhouette.
- Straight-leg or cigarette-cut trousers naturally complement a shirt or roll-neck top for an office look.
- Faux-leather leggings create a lovely contrast with more feminine pieces such as a patterned blouse or a sequin-adorned top.
- Fluid trousers in voile or chiffon add a light and elegant touch during the mid-season.
- Fleece-lined joggers, paired with a chunky knitted jumper, create a comfortable outfit for relaxing at home or enjoying a casual day.
Trousers that work across seasons are defined by their timeless cut and their easy-to-match colour : black, beige, camel, grey or navy blue.

Béryl's tip : To visually elongate your silhouette, choose Trousers that end just above the shoe. It's a small detail that makes all the difference. And if you're wearing wide-leg Trousers, balance them with a more fitted or slightly tucked-in top at the front: your silhouette will immediately look more elongated and structured.
